Shadows
Shadows are a interesting phenomenon. Often they are looming, eerie and frightening. But the irony of a shadow is that the shadow actually has no substance or power. It’s only what is seen when light is shone on a particular subject or object.
And often, shadows are a distortion of what is reality.
And yet, we continue to hide our secrets in the shadows - for fear of being found out, as our way of controlling the narrative and protecting ourselves.
I’ve seen it in my life and in the lives of others and it never results in the healthiest outcome.
“Who are you when you’re living in the shadows?” I promise, whatever secret you’re keeping hidden and tucked away from the world around you isn’t protecting you but it’s actually destroying you bit by bit from the inside. Make the bold and courageous move to expose your darkness to the light today! It might seem backwards to you, but when you do you’ll find yourself welcomed by grace filled open arms and not the condemnation that you’ve imagined.
