New Music Mondays!
New music? What’s this all about?? Over the last couple of years, I have been entirely passionate about helping others write their songs; about championing songs for our local church - and none of that has changed.
During this season, there has been this growing sense that the time is now to simply share some of the songs that don’t fit in those spaces - the songs that have have come from my journey - and have been some of my most honest and vulnerable ever.
So tomorrow I’m embarking on a new season. A new chapter.
Starting tomorrow I will begin releasing a song every week on Monday’s.
The songs will be released oftentimes, in their simplest form - where they first began.
A vocal and acoustic or vocal and piano. Some have more production.... but ultimately the heart of the project is not to showcase clever delivery or production but rather to simply let the song speak. No barriers. No obstacles. No hindrances.
Every Monday you’ll find a new song on all of the major music outlets.
Spotify.
iTunes.
Apple Music.
YouTube.
All music be released for the first time ever under my full name. Mark Alan Schoolmeesters.
Acoustic videos and song stories will follow many of the releases.
There was a long season of music under my first and middle name but now is the time for no striving, no positioning or clever marketing. It’s time for me to be me and my song to be what it is.
Simply put, it’s time for the songs to be sung regardless of who chooses to listen.
I’m not actually doing this for any other reason than I need to be a student of the process because the process is what produces the greatest transformation in me. And if you can benefit from it, well that’s all the better! That is really what I have given my life to.
So here’s to an adventure that doesn’t have a defined destination. A journey of becoming that I know will encourage and challenge me and I pray it does the same for you.
Would you share your thoughts and feedback if something challenges or inspires you? Or pass a song along to a loved one or dear friend when they come to mind as you listen?
Thanks for being in it with me!
